2000 year old wall paint...

Taken in the ancient ruined city of Pompeii, near Napoli in Italy. Pompeii, a city of around 11,500 people, was destroyed and buried under around 6m of ash From the eruption of mount Versuvius in 79AD. Well preserved under the ash, it was undisturbed for hundreds of years. This is some of the original paint from the walls of the houses in the city.
