Gateshead Millennium bridge

This is the Gateshead Millennium Bridge across the river Tyne in the North East of England. Across the river, you see Newcastle-upon-Tyne and the Malmaisson hotel. This bridge is also known as the blinking eye as it can open by swivelling on its axis to allow ships to pass below. It’s exceptionally well balanced and thus super efficient to open.
