Hablon Sa Cebu - (material from Cebu), weaving the old way! Since Hablon’s major comeback in 2014 in Argao, Cebu, the initiative has generated an increased interest in the processes. This increased awareness has also led to the acknowledgement of Hablon’s cultural significance manifested in the increased media presence and online features with increased presence and participation in local, national and international events. It has provided a steady income stream for the local community and is now also recognised as a viable project at the university, whilst generating jobs and an income for the local people of Argao.
